As the spring break season in many Asian countries comes to an end, airfares are returning to normal, and many people are preparing for trips to Osaka again.
Today, I’d like to introduce you one of the top three famous accommodations in Osaka: Onyado Nono Namba Natural Hot Spring.
Location of Onyado Nono Namba Natural Hot Spring
The hotel is located about a 10-12 minute walk from Namba Station/Nankai Namba Station, and it’s even closer to Kintetsu Nipponbashi Station.
You can think of it as being situated at the eastern end of Dotonbori Street, where many of Osaka’s popular hotels are concentrated.
Naturally, it boasts excellent proximity to the Dotonbori River and the famous food street.
Additionally, there are convenience stores nearby, making it easy to pick up snacks.

Address: 1 Chome-4-18 Nipponbashi, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0073, Japan
Check-in time: 3:00 PM
Check-out time: 11:00 AM
Located right on the main street of Dotonbori, this hotel is easy to find thanks to its unique ryokan-like atmosphere.
As soon as you enter the hotel, you have to take off your shoes, and the entire lobby area is designed with tatami-style flooring, allowing you to fully experience the feel of a traditional Japanese ryokan.
If you’ve come all the way to Japan and want to enjoy a traditional and exotic atmosphere, you’ll definitely fall in love with this place.
Although some reviews mentioned that the facilities were outdated, I found the overall environment to be quite clean upon my visit.
The staff at the counter, who spoke excellent English, were incredibly kind and helped correct my booking mistake, which was very helpful.
Onyado Nono Namba Natural Hot Spring Twin Room
The room had a charming traditional Japanese ryokan feel with tatami mats.
There’s a window next to the bed offering a view outside.
The unique layout features the bed area elevated above the living area.
The low beds are a plus, especially if you have kids, as there’s no risk of them falling off and getting hurt. TV is small and not wall-mounted, so we didn’t use it much.
There’s also a space right in front of the window where you can sit and enjoy snacks you bring back.
The bathroom is dry, with wooden floors and a sliding door separating the toilet and shower area.
The modern design of the bathroom was very appealing.
Onyado Nono Namba Natural Hot Spring Public Bath and Onsen
The hotel’s onsen is undoubtedly its biggest advantage.
The difference in fatigue levels between nights I used the onsen and nights I didn’t was significant.
It’s perfect for relieving the exhaustion from walking around Osaka all day.
After soaking in the onsen, enjoying the complimentary ice cream felt like heaven—I had both a Hershey’s bar and milk-flavored ice cream.
Starting from 9 PM, the restaurant offers complimentary soy sauce ramen called SOBA.
While the portion isn’t large, the delicious soba ramen left a memorable impression, making it one of the highlights of my Osaka trip!
Onyado Nono Namba Natural Hot Spring Breakfast
The breakfast may not be on par with a ryokan’s kaiseki quality, but everything from the skewers and miso soup to the cake desserts was perfect.
With such high quality, you might not feel the need to travel all the way to Kyoto for an onsen experience.
This stay made it clear why this hotel is considered one of the top three accommodations in Osaka.
The phrase “it lives up to its reputation” truly applies to this hotel.
I hope your trip to Osaka is filled with consideration for one another.
