When traveling to Fukuoka, I often spend a lot of time deliberating over accommodation.
However, there’s one hotel I always return to without fail: the Miyako Hotel Hakata.
This hotel has a unique value that sets it apart from others, enhancing the quality of my trips significantly.
Today, I’ll be reviewing the Miyako Hotel Hakata.
Location of Miyako Hotel Hakata
The hotel is conveniently located right next to Hakata Station, with its entrance just outside Exit 6 on the east side.
Being so close to Hakata Station means there’s no shortage of dining options around.
Additionally, it’s only a 5-minute walk to the Hakata Bus Terminal, making it an ideal stopover for trips to Beppu or Yufuin.
Another perk is that there’s a McDonald’s and a Starbucks on the hotel’s first floor.
Address of Miyako Hotel Hakata
Address: 2 Chome-1-1 Hakataekihigashi, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, 812-0013 Japan
Check-in time: 3:00 PM

As a hotel established in 2019, it feels clean and well-maintained!
The building itself stands out with its height and modern design, distinctly different from the older buildings around it.
The check-in counter emphasizes the large windows and the outdoor scenery behind it, with beautifully draped linens that left a lasting impression.
The lounge seating area is also very spacious, allowing guests to relax comfortably, showcasing the grandeur of Miyako Hotel.
Twin Room at Miyako Hotel Hakata
Having stayed at many hotels in Japan, I can confidently say that the room size here is exceptionally large, a fact well-known to frequent travelers.
The floor is covered with a plush gray and yellow rug, and there’s a capsule coffee machine, so I enjoyed plenty of coffee.
By the window, there is a large couch, perfect for lounging and enjoying the view outside.
The bathroom is particularly impressive.
The toilet is in a separate dry area, and the sink is in a private space as well.
The bathtub is quite large, allowing me to enjoy a relaxing soak every day.
The amenities are by the renowned brand Miller Harris, making the two days I spent there a fragrant delight.
Swimming Pool at Miyako Hotel Hakata
Unlike many other accommodations in Fukuoka, which often only have a public bath, Miyako Hotel Hakata uniquely features a rooftop heated pool.
This distinctive feature is one of the reasons why Miyako remains one of the top three most popular hotels in Fukuoka city.
The pool is quite long and the water quality is excellent.
At night, neon lights illuminate the area, making it a perfect spot for taking beautiful photos.
Breakfast at Miyako Hotel Hakata
The breakfast at Miyako Hotel Hakata is not a buffet style, making it less crowded and more pleasant.
Guests can choose between a Japanese or American breakfast, both of which were delicious.
While the price is a bit on the higher side, this place truly lives up to its reputation.
I highly recommend Miyako Hotel Hakata!
